Ambre Cardinal is an artist based in Marseille, France. She graduated from the École Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs (ESAD) in Strasbourg before completing an MA at the Royal College of Art in London in 2012. Her sculptural practice conceives of works as spatial jewels that heighten the relationship between the body and matter through their placement in space.
Her practice explores scale as a shifting condition, with forms moving from the intimate to the architectural, transforming their meaning as they expand. Always in motion, her works articulate space, shaping the void and inviting viewers to experience their own sense of gravity.
Her work has been presented in solo exhibitions in Tokyo, Milan, Hong Kong, Paris, and Marseille. In 2022, during Milan Design Week, she unveiled her first immersive installation at Galleria Jardino, curated by Julia Rajacic. She also participated in the Révélations Biennial at the Grand Palais in Paris, and in 2026 exhibited with Ruup & Form Gallery at the London Art Fair.
